The Opportunity:

This is a new full time, permanent Accounts Payable Manager opportunity to join my Leicestershire based innovative, and forward thinking client business, in a role where you will be driving change, developing teams and creating a sense of belonging whilst actively managing and improving the Accounts Payable function.

In this role you will be responsible for a team of 10, ensuring the payment of suppliers on time, working with the business and suppliers to resolve invoice disputes and queries so that Aged Creditor balances are tightly controlled

You will be working with key stakeholders and be key to supporting development and enduring improvements on systems and processes to provide customers with an effective and efficient, high quality accounts payable service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising an accounts payable team
  • Ensuring excellent customer experience through the accounts payable function
  • Managing invoice payment terms and ensuring invoices an staff expenses are paid to deadline
  • Ensuring the Accounts Payable team are compliant with internal controls
  • Continuously identify and review process risks
  • Monthly Statement reconciliation
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Understanding working capital and cash flow
  • Manage cashflow forecast inputs
  • Accounts Payable month end duties / Period close
  • Driving improvements
  • Assisting with system upgrades and development
  • Developing robust training and development framework
  • Managing major stakeholder relationships
