Butler Rose is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager to join a top 20 firm. This is a fantastic role for an ambitious professional looking to take the next step in their career, working within a dynamic and supportive team environment.

About the Role:As an Audit Manager, you will oversee an extensive portfolio of audit clients across various sectors, including owner-managed businesses, corporate entities, and not-for-profit organisations. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, supporting business owners, and ensuring high-quality audit services are delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for audit clients, providing proactive and responsive support.
  • Manage the financial performance of a portfolio of audit clients, reporting directly to the Audit RI.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, offering insights and commercial advice tailored to their business needs.
  • Oversee audit engagements to ensure completion within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management and quality control procedures.
  • Identify new service opportunities and communicate these to senior management.
  • Play an active role in recruitment, development, and retention of the audit team.
  • Represent the firm at networking and marketing events, promoting its full range of services.

What We're Looking For:

  • Professional Qualification: ACCA or ACA (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong experience managing a portfolio of audit clients, including statutory accounts, group audits, and disclosures.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP, Company Law, and relevant compliance standards (FRS 102, IFRS, ISAs).
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Commercial acumen with a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
