Macildowie Finance are currently exclusively supporting a well-established, recognisable employer brand based in central Leicester to recruit for a Finance Manager. This position is initially on a 6 month FTC basis, but with a view to become a permanent position after the successful completion of the first 6 months.

This role is the ideal position for an all-rounded accountant, who enjoys getting involved in all areas and being in a 'hands on' role.

You will be working closely alongside a supportive and experienced Head of Finance, getting involved and gaining exposure in a fast paced and exciting environment.

This opportunity does offer the possibility of hybrid working, with a maximum of 2 days working from home after the initial training period.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries,
Delivery of month end to tight timescales,
Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of all back up schedules,
Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as sales invoicing, bank reconciliations and other transactions,
Preparation and submission of VAT returns,
Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, accounts receivables, expenses etc.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

Finalist or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) / QBE also considered
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
