Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with an employee centric, family-ran, SME business in Leicestershire, to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis.

As Finance Manager you will be responsible for the following:

  • Producing monthly management accounts using the trial balance
  • Preparing budgets for departments and the company
  • Providing analysis and commentary around the management accounts
  • Ensuring all statutory filing requirements are submitted in a timely manner (VAT returns, national statistics, apprenticeship levy, P11Ds)
  • Management of the month-end process
  • Ensuring that bank transactions are posted daily and accounts are reconciled weekly
  • Processing monthly payroll for the three payrolls
  • Managing and developing a team of four (credit control, financial accountant, accounts assistant, and purchase ledger)
  • Building effective relationships with the board and operational managers
  • Deputising for the Finance Director in their absence

The successful Finance Manager will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Proven line management experience
  • Ideally have worked in an SME environment
  • End to end Accountant
  • Strong Excel skills

As Finance Manager, you will be entitled to the following:
