Our client is a modern and innovative law firm offering high quality legal advice. They have built an excellent reputation across their key market sectors which include Commercial and Residential Property, Planning, Family Law, Private Client, Corporate and Commercial.This position can be fulfilled remotely with occasional travel to Leicester for meetings.The role is responsible for overseeing all financial activities across the firm, including accounting, reporting, payments, reconciliations, budgeting, payroll and forecasting. It is the number one finance role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.We are ideally looking for the Head of Finance to have direct legal sector experience and knowledge of Solicitor Accounts Regulations.This is a newly created role due to growth, bringing the accounts in house and the appointed candidate will build a successful team around them and will play a key role in the growth of the firm.The role will include;
- Preparing monthly management reports
- Managing Audit process - SRA / Companies House
- Budgeting / forecasting / cash flow management
- Month-end reporting - Billings/Aged Debtors/Payments/Receipts
- Monthly bank reconciliations and ledger management
- Managing client accounts in line with Solicitor Accounts Rules
- Processing VAT returns
- Billings & Payments
- Management of Payroll and Pensions
