Payments Team Leader

Macildowie is working with a well-established business to recruit a Payments Team Leader, overseeing the processing of over £4 billion in payments across multiple bank accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a skilled team, drive process improvements, and play a crucial role in financial operations.

The Role

Leading a team of 4, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing daily payment operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions and reconciliations.
  • Overseeing company cash books, ensuring compliance with internal policies and reconciling statements to the general ledger.
  • Handling multi-platform payments, including Bacs, Faster Payments, and international transactions.
  • Ensuring secure cash handling and adherence to banking protocols.
  • Leading month-end reconciliations and working with finance teams to maintain accurate records.
  • Driving process improvements, identifying opportunities for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Working with internal teams and banking providers to resolve queries and escalate issues as needed.
