At the heart of this fast-paced, PE-backed business is a finance team that has undergone significant transformation to match ambitious growth plans.
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially astute Senior Finance Manager to play a key role in shaping financial strategy, driving insightful decision-making, and supporting continued expansion.
Cash flow and working capital are at the core. This role isn’t just about understanding numbers – it’s about uncovering the ‘why’ behind them. Think… why are trade debtors or creditors increasing, and what’s the solution?
You’ll be working closely with the CFO and exec team, focusing on cash flow, debt, and working capital. It’s strategic financial modelling without needing to be an Excel wizard – more about interpreting the data, understanding the outputs, and influencing key decisions.
How will you be the change?
This role is essential in driving the business forward. And as a Senior Finance Manager, you’ll do it by:
- Taking ownership of the financial model for balance sheet and cash flow forecasting/reporting.
- Managing cash forecasting across different time horizons – 13-week, annual, and longer-term planning using key drivers like DSO/DPO.
- Conducting monthly net working capital analysis vs budget/forecast, developing and monitoring KPIs.
- Building strong relationships at senior management level, delivering impactful business insights that drive performance.
- Acting as a key financial contact for major transformation projects across the group.
- Ensuring strong financial controls over planning spreadsheets and reporting tools.
What does it take?
If you’re ready to drive change and make an impact, you’ll need:
- Recent experience in working capital and cash flow modelling.
- A commercially focused mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communicating at all levels.
- A relevant finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
It’s a bonus if you have:
- Financial modelling experience (Power BI or similar tools).
- FP&A exposure across all three financial statements.
- Experience in a PE-backed business.
They very much embrace flexible working. This role requires two days per week in the Leicester office, with the rest of the week remote.
What’s on offer?
- Salary: £65,000 to £80,000 + 10% discretionary bonus
- Car allowance £6k.
- Private medical
- 26 days annual leave + Bank holidays
- Life cover & paid sick leave.
- Enhanced maternity, paternity & adoption leave.
- Health & wellness support, including Virtual GP and Employee Assistance Programme.
This PE-backed business is on an exciting growth journey, with ambitious targets and a strategy focused on expansion and transformation.Â
- Operating across multiple divisions, they provide services to well-known brands across retail, hospitality, financial services, and construction.
- The finance team is at the heart of the business, working closely with leadership and investors to drive key decisions and shape the future.
Ready to make an impact?
- If you’re looking for a role where you can influence strategy, deliver meaningful change, and be part of a fast-growing, forward-thinking business, we’d love to hear from you.
