Macildowie Finance are currently supporting a leading global business, with operations in North Leicestershire to recruit a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager. This business is a dominant force in their market and has ambitious growth plans both through acquisition and organic means. As the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all tax-related matters within the UK and Ireland region both direct and indirect. Your primary focuses will be on UK Corporation Tax, company record maintenance, VAT Returns and other regulatory/statutory returns. You will work closely with internal stakeholders including Group Tax, external tax advisors, and local finance teams across UK and Ireland to ensure accurate tax reporting, efficient tax planning, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities: UK Corporation Tax: Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of UK Corporation Tax legislation and provide guidance on tax matters impacting the business. All Areas of VAT Analysis and Reporting including Annual Returns and Quarterly Reconciliations.Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, including the preparation and submission of tax returns, reports, and other related filings. Record Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of accurate and complete tax records, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal controls and audit requirements. Tax Planning: Collaborate with the finance team to identify tax planning opportunities, develop strategies, and implement tax-efficient structures that align with the company's goals. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax laws, regulations, and rulings to provide accurate and timely advice to the organization. Transfer Pricing: Review and manage transfer pricing policies and documentation, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations. Audits and Disputes: Assist with tax audits and inquiries, responding to information requests, and managing tax-related disputes and appeals. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and business teams, to provide tax guidance, support transactions, and ensure tax implications are considered in decision-making processes. External Relationships: Liaise with external tax advisors, tax authorities, and other relevant agencies as required to ensure effective communication and resolution of tax matters. Compliance Monitoring: Develop and implement tax compliance monitoring programs to identify potential risks and proactively address them. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) is essential. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide practical solutions. Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
