Location: Barwell, Leicester

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday / 6am to 6pm / 36 Hours Per Week

My client was established in 2002, they are now the largest privately owned print and packaging company in the UK having grown to over 900 employees operating globally. The company prides itself on quality, efficiency, ethics and low environmental impact whilst being innovative and dynamic. The company has opportunities for a printer to work in their site in Barwell.

Roles and Responsibilities for a Flexographic Printer:

  • To ensure all printing tasks are carried out to high standards and that the standards are maintained.
  • To operate and maintain production speeds on your shift and setting times to targets and record / report in areas where this is not possible.
  • To work constantly towards production improvements in methods, to eliminate potential quality problems and reduce downtime.
  • To liaise with the production manager to achieve best possible machine utilisation with minimum wastage, while ensuring excellent quality, at best possible delivery dates.
  • Work as part of a team supporting colleagues and sharing information.
  • To follow all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the Print Department and ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • To ensure your teamwork and maintain safe working systems to ensure personnel are kept free from injury and operations are safe and efficient.
  • Ensure collaborative working within the Print Department via good communication.

Requirements for a Flexographic Printer:

  • Proven experience with flexographic printing processes.
  • Experience with water based and UV ink technology
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organisational and self-motivational skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience within carton-board manufacturing is desirable but not necessary
