Job Purpose:

  • To support the efficient, safe, and compliant delivery of passenger transport services
  • To ensure that the services are delivered for the benefit of the people of Leicestershire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee fleet operations, ensuring efficient service delivery
  • Supervise and support Drivers and Escorts
  • Maintain health & safety compliance, risk assessments, and reporting
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Liaise with stakeholders and prepare reports as required
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance and regulatory compliance
  • Identify cost-saving and income-generating opportunities
  • Deputise for the Transport Manager when needed
  • Communicating with parents – strong customer service skills are essential

Requirements:

  • Travel to different locations may be required
  • DBS check required due to working with vulnerable individuals
