About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and adaptable General Cover Teacher to join our team and provide adhoc cover across secondary schools in Leicestershire. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, able to manage classrooms effectively, and quickly step into various subjects when needed.

As a General Cover Teacher, you will work on an as-needed basis, stepping in to cover for teachers who are absent, ensuring students continue to receive high-quality education in a supportive and engaging environment. This role provides flexibility with working hours and offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking variety in their teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality classroom management and instruction to secondary school students in various subjects.
  • Follow lesson plans and support students in their learning.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the different age groups and subjects.
  • Maintain a positive, productive classroom atmosphere.
  • Manage student behavior and ensure school policies are followed.
  • Assist in the development of students' academic and social skills.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience.
  • Previous teaching experience or experience working with secondary-aged students is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to quickly adjust to new teaching environments.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain).
  • A passion for teaching and supporting students in their educational journey.
