Summary
SPS Technologies are working in partnership as they look to increase their team. Due to retirement of long-standing employees and a large aerospace contract, we are looking for Prep Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be working on the double day shifts, Mornings and afternoon shits. Training will be on stander days shifts.
The Job :
- Metallurgical samples preparation
- Maintain and operate laboratory preparation equipment
- Keep equipment in a clean and serviceable condition and ensure the safe removal of waste
- Consumables stock control
- Manual handling requirement including some heavy lifting work
- Other laboratory duties as required
The candidate :
- Knowledge engineering
- Previous preparation experience preferred
- Ability to communicate decisions & problems
- Ability to work un-supervised in areas of proficiency
- Well organised and efficient
- Ability to learn new and relevant skills
