Key Responsibilities
Main Tasks and Deliverables:
Ensure workflow procedures are followed.
Operate various machines tools to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.
- Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring and conventional lathe and milling work.
- Perform various metallising techniques as required.
- Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.
- Use hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools.
- Record all data necessary to produce expected service or design results.
- Maintain machines in good working order and report any defects to management.
- Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
- Keep work area neat and tidy.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and wear the correct PPE.
- Carry out any other reasonable request.
Use various hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools, including but not limited to band saw, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.
Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
Promote a culture of working safely as routine.
Skills and Experience:
- High school qualifications.
- Must have experience of manual machining.
- Must be able to work to tight deadlines.
- Must be a good team player but also able to work using your own initiative.
