UBT Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf of a very reputable, family run business based in South Wales. Our client is a supplier of high-quality flooring and accessories, they are now recruiting aMerchant Chanel Managerto join their team.
The purpose of this role is to build and lead the UK Merchant Sales team to drive revenue sales within gross profit requirements. Ability to motivate and inspire the team to succeed in building strong customer relationships, meet customer needs whilst achieving targets.

This role is a UK wide role, in which you will be on the road 4 times per week

Duties:

  • Hands on with more senior accounts whilst inspiring and supporting the team to succeed in managing the whole channel.
  • Embracing the need to become an expert in the product range and technical requirements.
  • Becoming the channel expert and voice of the channel.
  • Ability to inspire and lead a team.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Time served managing a sales team.
  • Good data analysis skills to understand budgeting, develop & improve forecasting, track performance and corrective actions required to achieve.
  • Present weekly performance with reason for over & under performance with plans to correct.
  • Involves team in decision making to take them with them.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and partners.
  • Comfortable training customers and partners with engaging presentation style.
  • Strong coaching & mentoring skills to enable the team to flourish.
  • Ideally a super-user with Salesforce CRM, but time served with alternative platform.
  • Problem solving skills to undercover and resolve issues.
  • With a premium brand, the ability to sell value over price with unique differentiators.
  • Utilising category management techniques for point-of-sale proposals.

Benefits

  • The role is 07:30 till 16:30, Monday to Friday, lunch 60 minutes. This role requires flexibility around working hours to deliver on the needs of the customers.
