We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile Insurance and Risk Management clients. They are currently looking for a Mobile Facilities Handy Person to join them for an initial 6-month contract, however there is a view for this to become a more permanent fixture.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assistance with the technical maintenance of building assets (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing)
  • Manage 3rd party contractors delivering planned and reactive maintenance/projects works.
  • PPM scheduling equipment and appliances
  • Manage building services such as FCUs, emergency lights, fire alarms, planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault finding
  • Maintenance of lighting, power distribution, electrical fault finding, PAT testing
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new plant, machinery and equipment
  • Plumbing works, Joinery, Painting and Decorating
  • Maintain the security and fabric of the office and its contents
  • Grounds maintenance as required
  • Carry out weekly fire alarm tests
  • Moving office equipment and furniture
  • Maintaining/resetting lockers
  • Assist projects team where required including handover of refurbishments/fit out work
  • First response to non-emergency broken equipment
  • Flushing of water systems/temp check
  • Report H&S breeches and mitigate and report risks
  • Act as a fire warden

Location:

This role requires the candidate to operate between multiple of the clients' Midlands sites 5 days a week. From time to time there may be opportunities for over-time.

Working hours:

Standard working hours with some flex where required.
