PROTOTYPER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 08.00 - 17.00

£40,000 PER ANNUM

People Solutions are looking for an experienced Prototyper for our manufacturing client based in Leicester.

Offering an annual salary of £40,000, you will be responsible for creating and testing prototypes of new products, ensuring they meet design specifications and are ready for mass production.

This role requires a hands-on approach, strong technical skills, and the ability to work closely with engineers, designers, and production teams.

Day to Day Duties

  • Develop and construct prototypes based on design specifications and requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to refine designs and resolve any technical issues
  • Utilize a variety of tools, materials, and manufacturing processes to create functional prototypes
  • Perform tests and evaluations on prototypes to ensure they meet quality, durability, and performance standards
  • Document and report on the prototype development process, including any modifications and recommendations
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth transition from prototype to mass production
  • Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies and materials

Essential Skills

  • Have experience of acrylic fabrication and a good understanding of production build techniques
  • Have experience of operating circular saws, CNC’s, V Groovers and Lasers
  • Have an understanding and experience of AutoCAD drawings
  • Good attention to detail and a good understanding of quality requirements
  • Have strong communication skills with a positive working attitude

  • Be organised in your approach to the working day with good time management skills
  • An ability to work with other departments towards a shared goal
  • Be able to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Carry out other departmental duties as required
