The Role

The client is looking for a dedicated and ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to assist with the preparation of accounts, VAT returns, and general accounting tasks while building strong relationships with a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing accounts for both unincorporated and incorporated businesses
Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues
Assisting with year-end accounts and tax compliance queries
Preparing management accounts and processing VAT returns
Developing and maintaining strong client relationships across various industries
Mentoring and supporting junior team members

Key Requirements:

AAT qualified and working towards ACA/ACCA qualification
Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
Experience in bookkeeping, VAT returns, and accounts preparation
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
A proactive and hands-on approach with strong teamwork skills
