The role

As a Senior General Operative, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and safe running of our operations, contributing directly to the efficiency and safety of our industrial and welfare environments.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep the site operating effectively, including maintenance, inspections, and supporting compliance efforts.

  • Cleaning, monitoring, and maintaining industrial and welfare areas.

  • Conducting periodic checks and inspections, ensuring safety and compliance.

  • Handling and disposing of waste according to regulations.

  • Operating Forklift Trucks, towing tugs, and transporting goods around the site.

  • Performing minor equipment inspections (e.g., ladders, First Aid Stations) and working in radiologically controlled areas when required.

This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

This role is full time 37 hours per week and is based at Whetstone

Essential experience of the Senior General Operative

  • Warehouse or storekeeping experience is desirable.

Qualifications for the Senior General Operative

  • Full clean driving license.

  • Forklift license.

Security Clearance
