Hours: 37.5 hrs p/wk- Days (1pm finish on Friday's)

About Our Client:

Our client is a global leader in manufacturing electrical/mechanical components. With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, they have built a reputation for excellence in the industry. They are currently seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist to join their team and contribute to their continued success.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain a robust supplier quality management programme
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement in supplier performance
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, working closely with them to resolve any quality-related issues
  • Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including change requests and deviations
  • Act as the main point of contact for all supplier quality-related queries
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams in resolving quality issues
  • Monitor and analyse supplier performance metrics, identifying trends and implementing proactive measures to prevent quality issues
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practises in supplier quality management

Essential Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, both electrical and mechanical (essential)
  • Proven experience in supplier quality management within a manufacturing environment
  • Solid knowledge of quality management systems and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Desirable Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Experience working with international suppliers
  • Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulations

Technologies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with quality management software (e.g., SAP, Minitab)
