We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Workshop Assistant based in Leicester based on a full time and permanent basis.

Salary: 35,000 per annum

Working hours: 8:00 -16:30 Monday to Friday.

Annual leave: 25 days plus statutory

About the role:

We are looking to recruit a multi-skilled Workshop Assistant who will be working in a small team, within a varied role, refurbishing used machinery.

Duties

In house repair and refurbishment of machines.

Fitting motors and safety switches.

Rebuilding of mechanical sub-assemblies.

Assisting in machine demonstration area.

Cleaning and polishing machines.

Prepare new machines for delivery to customers.

Occasional UK and European travel.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

Experience in mechanical engineering (desirable)

Must be able to measure in both imperial and metric using rules, vernier calliper and micrometres

Must be able to mark out, drill and tap, and be competent in the use of power tools.

Be able to perform simple Milling and Turning tasks.

Have basic knowledge of electrics and motors 3 Phase

Driving Licence

Formal qualifications are not essential, but the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a strong level of competency and be able to work on their own or as a part of a team.
