We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis.


As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students stay on task.
  • Supporting students with their learning and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and other cover supervisors to ensure continuity of learning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure students complete assigned work.
  • Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff member.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school environment is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
