The Registry Services Directorate comprises responsibility for the administration of the student journey from registration to graduation, and consists of the following functions: student records, quality assurance, UKVI compliance, timetabling, student records, examinations, awards and graduations, and student casework.

Role

De Montfort University (DMU) is seeking an experienced and highly organised Head of Student Records to oversee our student data quality assurance, lead the Student Records team, and provide expert guidance on student data management across the University. This role is essential to the effective development, coordination, and continuous improvement of our student data processes and systems, which support our faculty, professional teams, and partner institutions. Working collaboratively, you will drive efforts in student data quality improvement, process optimisation, and robust student records management.

As Head of Student Records, you will have a unique opportunity to influence cross-departmental processes, ensuring they meet evolving regulations and the diverse needs of our stakeholders. You’ll provide valuable insights to senior leadership, maintaining a forward-looking approach to data governance and compliance across DMU.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of student data and records, promoting consistent standards across all faculties and partner institutions.

- Drive ongoing improvements in student record processes, coordinating with academic and professional services teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with university policies.

- Develop and manage a skilled Student Records team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on policy changes, sector developments, and best practices for student data management and quality assurance.

- Oversee the setup and maintenance of programme and course data in SAP, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and efficient data processing.
