Faculty / Directorate

The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media wishes to appoint a fixed-term (one year) full-time (1.0 FTE) Lecturer in Computing within the Information Systems Subject Group. The School of Computer Science and Informatics is based within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media. It offers a wide range of courses to other undergraduates and postgraduates in line with emergent demand and the nature of these fast-moving, competitive disciplines. We have a solid track record of ground-breaking research, and in REF2021, nearly 2/3 of the School’s research was considered to be world-leading or internationally excellent. The information systems subject, covering computing courses has ranked among the top 25% of all UK Universities. Alongside the university as a whole, we have huge ambitions for the future in terms of our offering to students and the quality and scale of our research. Staff in the Computing area typically belong to either of the following research groups: Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility (CCSR); Cyber Security Institute (CSI) or the Artificial Intelligence Institute (IAI).
