We are currently working in partnership with a fantastic financial services outfit based in Leicestershire, who are looking to appoint a People Advisor on a 12-month FTC, with the opportunity for a permanent role. It is an exciting time to join a great company that is entering a period of growth with plenty of development opportunities.

This will be a full-time position, with hybrid working (2 days home working) and a salary of £32,000 to £33,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified to level 5 or above, and have a minimum of 2 years in advisory positions providing expert employment law advice to line managers.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing expert advice, according to UK employment legislation and internal policies and processes
  • Providing advice, training and guidance on all policies and processes, as well as supporting with updating said policies and processes
  • Regular reviews and reporting on the performance of cases and ongoing projects
  • Supporting and coaching managers on ER cases and outcome letters
  • Responding to advice emails within the designated timescale
  • Supporting the development, creation, and delivery of HR training to upskill managers
  • Reviewing education reports and ensuring managers have completed their required training
  • Creating checklists and trackers to ensure consistency of process management
  • Supporting the maintenance and continuous updates/improvements to HR process maps and HR process manual

Expertise required:

  • Be CIPD L5 qualified or above
  • Minimum 2 years in a HR Advisory position
  • Be able to provide first line advice on employment law
  • Really strong experience of practical ER, not just theory
  • Previous experience of coaching and mentoring line managers

Working hours:

  • 34.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Thursday, 9am-5pm
  • Friday, 9am-4:30pm
  • 2 days working from home
