ABOUT THE CLIENT:

My client is on the lookout for an IT Technician to provide technical support. In this role, you'll play a critical part in driving forward the IT service strategy, ensuring infrastructure stability, and supporting both educational and administrative activities. THE IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN ROLE:

  • You will be responsible for providing device and application support, maintaining common hardware and troubleshooting problems.
  • You will set up and check devices, carrying out any required repairs.
  • Resolve support requests in line with the service SLA and escalate if necessary.
  • Report and track any ongoing issues with external providers.
  • Complete various administrative tasks and ensure documentation is kept up to date.

IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN - ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • A good understanding of devices and applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting problems.
  • Ability to detect and diagnose application errors.
  • Previous experience in an IT environment.
  • Hold a driver's licence and be eligible for an Enhanced DBS check.
