Job Title: Manufacturing Design Engineer
Location: Leicestershire
Remuneration: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
Contract Details: Permanent, full-time position
Responsibilities:
- Utilise Solidworks and Autocad to design innovative manufacturing solutions that meet client specifications and standards.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient design solutions
- Generate engineering documentation, such as bills of materials and engineering change orders
- Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input to improve product quality and performance
- Create 3D models, technical drawings, and simulations to facilitate product visualisation and evaluation.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source necessary materials and components for manufacturing.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
- Provide technical support to production teams to address any design-related challenges during manufacturing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Solid proficiency in Solidworks, Autocad, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality designs.
