Job Overview

We are hiring an Assembly Operator to work in Leicester. This role involves assembling various battery components and ensuring high-quality standards are met. You will be working in a fast-paced production environment that requires precision and attention to detail. You will be an essential part of a team responsible for manufacturing batteries used in medical, military, and robotics applications.

Duties of an Assembly Operator

As part of the Manufacturing & Production team, you will be responsible for:

  • Using hand tools and power tools to assemble components
  • Handling batteries with care and precision, as it is a safety-critical role
  • Ensuring quality control checks are performed throughout the assembly process
  • Following health and safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work environment
  • Reading and understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and production schedules
  • Communicating effectively with team leaders and supervisors regarding any issues or updates
  • Completing basic written reports on work progress and quality control checks
  • Carrying out basic testing and troubleshooting of assembled products
  • Collaborating with the team and reporting any issues to the supervisor
