Macildowie are working exclusively with a well-established business based in Leicester City Centre, looking to recruit an Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Clerk to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys managing the full accounts receivable process while driving improvements in credit control procedures.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, this role is ideal for someone who is confident in chasing outstanding debt, ensuring timely payments, and implementing best practices to improve cash flow. If you have experience with Sage 50 and a proactive approach to problem-solving, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the end-to-end accounts receivable process, ensuring invoices are issued and payments are collected on time
- Chasing outstanding payments and reducing aged debt
- Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
- Working with internal teams to resolve customer queries and disputes
- Assessing and monitoring customer credit limits to minimise risk
- Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency in credit control and AR workflows
- Supporting the Financial Controller in reviewing and tidying up historical AR balances
