Macildowie are thrilled to be working with a brilliant education organisation based in Leicestershire who are eager to appoint an experienced ER Specialist on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract, to lead all employee relations case work within their areas of responsibility.

Within this post, you will work collaboratively with the Senior HR Business Partner and support the Partnering Team to deliver a high-quality, progressive and inclusive employment experience for all staff in alignment with the organisations mission, vision and values.

Job Duties:

  • Provide end-to-end support for all employee relations case work within assigned areas.
  • Take the lead in supporting investigations, ensuring thorough and impartial processes.
  • Develop effective investigation strategies tailored to each case.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression.
  • Maintain a positive employee experience throughout the case resolution process.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers dealing with complex HR issues.
  • Enhance managerial efficiency in handling employee relations cases.
  • Lead organisational restructures within areas of responsibility, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Use data and insights from casework to aid in the creation and review of HR policies, procedures, and guidance.
  • Create and implement training programs aimed at enhancing managerial competence.
  • Ensure effective delivery of training initiatives to meet organisational needs.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with managers and unions.
  • Provide proactive support for the effective and constructive resolution of disputes.
  • Ensure equity, diversity, and inclusion are embedded in all activities.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualified, CIPD Level 7 ideal
  • Experience of working in an HR team in a large, complex organisation
  • Experience of dealing with complex HR issues including employee relations casework
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and meet project deliverables.
  • Proven ability to prioritise task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to build relationships with a range of stakeholders and influence them to deliver the project requirements

The successful candidate will be awarded with a salary commensurate to their experience of £34,000 - £45,000 per annum, alongside an excellent benefits package including great annual leave and access to a very generous pension scheme!
