Key responsibilities:
- Managing planning applications, appeals, and consultations for a range of development projects.
- Providing expert advice to clients and stakeholders on planning matters.
- Conducting site searches, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to support decision-making.
- Collaborating with local authorities, government agencies, and community groups to build positive relationships and address planning issues.
- Developing and implementing planning strategies to drive sustainable growth.
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes and industry best practices to ensure informed planning solutions.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a planning role within local government, consultancy, or the development industry.
- A relevant Planning qualification (or working towards one) and membership of RTPI (or working towards).
- Strong understanding of planning systems and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- An ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach to work.
