Summary of the Legal Secretary role

Responsibilities of theLegal Secretary

  • Support the team's fee earners.
  • Transcribing and proofreading letters, emails and other correspondence.
  • Audio typing.
  • File management and formatting contracts and other documents.
  • Invoicing and submitting expense claims.
  • Diary management.
  • General administration duties.

Requirements for a successful Legal Secretary

  • Previous administration or secretarial experience within the Legal sector.
  • Excellent typing skills.
  • Well organised with excellent time management.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to organise and manage workload priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
