  • Our client is seeking a motivated and proactive Construction Paralegal to join their Leicester-based Construction team, which operates nationwide. The role involves advising clients on construction and engineering matters, including project management, dispute resolution, and renewable energy projects. Candidates should possess strong administration skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred, with a salary of approximately £30,000 to £35,000 per year. This position offers an opportunity to develop legal skills within a supportive team while working with long-standing clients.

Our client has a vacancy for a motivated, proactive and energetic Construction Paralegal to join their Construction team. The role will primarily be Leicester based but the construction team operates nationwide through a network of offices.

The Construction Team specialise in advising a range of clients on all matters relating to construction and engineering from project set up and procurement through to dispute resolution. This includes advising on areas such as renewable energy but also major commercial and residential projects and bespoke engineering installations both in the UK and internationally.

This is a great opportunity to develop your legal skills and knowledge within an experienced and mutually supportive team. You will work with long-standing clients and assist the partner in managing the process of resolving the legal requirements of a variety of construction and engineering projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting in drafting and monitoring project procurement;
  • Preparing trackers and arranging for signature and return of key documents from construction stakeholders;
  • Reviewing construction documents received and preparing internal reports for the team;
  • Undertaking preliminary reviews and preparing internal reports on dispute resolution matters;
  • Assisting the team with mediations and adjudications;
  • Assisting on all aspects of High Court litigation matters and Arbitrations.
  • Assisting in developing presentations and articles for business development.

Requirements

  • Great working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong administration skills and real attention to detail
  • A people person who is approachable and works well as part of a team
  • Results focused
  • A willingness to learn and develop your conveyancing expertise
