Macildowie seek an Operations Director who will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations department for this growing fast-food business, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of business retail operations.

This role involves leading teams across various functions, including business development, procurement, and (multi-site) operational support. The Operations Director will play a pivotal role in strategic planning, ensuring compliance with company standards, food regulations and driving retail growth initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic operational plans to achieve business goals, including revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor direct reports, such as the Business Development Manager, Procurement Manager, and Operations Support Manager, to foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily retail operational activities, ensuring all processes align with corporate objectives and industry best practices.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the operations team, regularly evaluating progress and implementing improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure cohesive operational strategies that support the company's overall objectives.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain: Oversee procurement and supply chain management, ensuring efficient sourcing and cost control for ingredients and products.
  • Innovation Support: Guide the team in identifying and implementing new technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.

Non-negotiables:

  • 5+ years of experience in multi-site operations and people management, preferably in the food or retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of delivery aggregator platforms and EPOS systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and in diverse regions.
