Service Care Solutions are working alongside a local authority in Leicester for a Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.Location: Leicester Working: Hybrid (1 day per week in office)Salary: £49,764 to £52,805 (based on experience, qualifications and interview performance)Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team managing procurement processes, from planning to contract execution.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Oversee evaluation, negotiations, and contract management, ensuring compliance.
- Build relationships with suppliers and internal clients to ensure value for money.
- Lead cross-functional teams on high-value projects, ensuring delivery within scope and budget.
- Continuously improve procurement processes and practices.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior procurement or management role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and relevant legislation.
- Leadership experience and ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare detailed reports.
