DC Personnel are seeking a skilled Transportation & Logistics Supervisor to oversee the logistics operations and ensure the efficient transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and be able to manage a team effectively.This is a day shift, Monday-Friday at 40 hours per week with overtime available.This is a full time role with the employer wanting to take someone on permanently.Pay rate is £15 per hour plus overtimeDuties include: - Coordinate and oversee transportation activities- Manage and supervise a team of around 10 staff and 7 vehicles- Plan all vehicle routes effectively ensuring timely delivery of goods- Communicate with drivers and customers- Monitor transportation costs and maintain budgetary complianceWhat we need from you:- Experience in team management within the logistics industry- Excellent organisational abilities- Customer service skills- Transport planning experience- Flexibility with hours- Effective communication skills- Proficient in Excel for data analysis- Computer literacy for tracking and reporting purposes- Valid driving license with no more than 6 ptsTo apply please get in touch or sending a copy of your CV to DC Personnel are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy
