Description

Delivers excellent service to our customers through leadership of their team, whilst achieving KPI’s and cost targets. Ensures the highest standards within assigned team ensuring process are followed in an accurate, safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, managing and driving performance of a team of colleagues in the DC
  • Demonstrate strong values and behaviours to drive engagement within the DC team 
  • Deliver effective people management processes and continuous development of their teams through on-going coaching and feedback
  • Organises and delivers appraisals and regular one to ones with each member of the team 
  • Manages absence and performance issues through internal processes 
  • Delivers continued and sustained KPI performance, understanding the business/ cost implications of decisions made. 
  • Ensures their team is organised effectively daily to meet customer requirements. 
  • Supports site specific projects as directed by their Operations Manager 
  • Works collaboratively with other colleagues in the department and across the DC to deliver results 
  • Decision making that puts the customers at the heart of everything 
  • Operates within legislation, policy and process in all matters relating to safety, health and environment and ensures risks are minimised 
  • Can identify opportunities to improve and identify the balance between service and cost
  • Maintain quality, safety and environmental standards and process 
  • In-day collaboration around the movement of internal resource 
  • Escalate any serious incidents through the correct internal channels
