Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Leicester
Hours: 36.25 hours/week
Salary: Up to £55,000

We are looking for an experienced and driven Engineering Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance team. In this role, you will guide a team to achieve the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and plant uptime, enabling our continued growth and profitability. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engaging leader with a passion for developing a skilled and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead the team in ensuring all plant and equipment comply with safety and legislative requirements.
  • Manage and optimize planned preventive maintenance schedules to improve plant availability.
  • Lead and execute capital investment projects with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and energy reduction.
  • Collaborate with the Health, Safety & Environment Officer to maintain compliance with relevant permits and licenses.
  • Champion a culture of Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement.
  • Support the development of effective maintenance schedules, analyzing data to drive improvement projects.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization within the department.
  • Ensure all engineers are properly trained and authorized for their tasks, with dynamic risk assessments in place.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing multi-site engineering and maintenance teams in service-driven industries.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of regulations like ATEX, LOLER, and ISO 9001.
  • Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to deliver strategic projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring and developing a high-performing team.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving techniques and data analysis.
  • Experience in optimizing energy usage and driving efficiency improvements.
