The Engineering & Manufacturing division of SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Factory Manager to be part of a well-established group, based at their Leicester manufacturing facility.
Scope of role
- Take operational responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the site; production, shop-floor management, buildings, infrastructure, maintenance, health and safety policy implementation and quality standards.
- To impart leadership values across multifunctional teams and to offer direction & guidance.
- Ensure the manufacturing facilities maintains expected high standards, to meet customer expectations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and implement necessary actions to ensure targets and quality standards are met.
- Play a pivotal part in the leadership team to ensure added value to the business.
The Factory Manager
- Educated to level 5 as a minimum with a relevant subject such as Production Management.
- Experienced in leading both production & warehouse teams - a background in building services products would be highly advantageous.
- Successful people and project leader, with the necessary skills to effectively coach and develop team performance.
- Experience of effectively using lean tools and techniques.
- Strong health & safety management skills
- Willingness to travel to other sites within the group from time to time.
- First rate organisational and time management skills.
