Our client is an established British manufacturer who continues to dominate the HVAC industry.
Due to business growth, they are now looking for an experienced leader tojoin them as a Factory Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join them on a full-time permanent basis.
The role:
- Ensure operational responsibility for all day to day running of the site. (Shop-floor management, infrastructure, maintenance, and production).
- The Factory Manager will play a central role in the leadership and strategy of the business ensuring its activities create value.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement technologies.
- Implement and ensure all health and safety policies are to standard.
- Ensuring seamless delivery of sales and production plans is crucial to meeting lead times and stock build requirements as per agreements with sales teams.
- Maintain and upgrade machinery to keep operations running smoothly and meet standards.
- Ensure high performance by leading and motivating the production team.
- Add value to the business by acting as a pivotal part in the leadership team.
- To promote Continuous Improvement within all areas of operations
- Oversee all production from raw materials to the finished product.
- Manage production schedules to meet deadlines and optimise efficiency.
- To directly manage all aspects of purchasing, production planning, manufacturing, facilities, quality, health and safety, warehousing, transport, goods receipt & dispatch
- Oversee inventory, supply chain and cost control for maximum profitability.
The candidates:
- Must have relevant experience in a similar management role.
- Experience with HVAC products is integral.
- Educated to a NVQ Level 5 as a minimum with relevant experience to a production management.
- Strong health and safety management skills
- A strong understanding of production processes and quality control
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Ability to ensure the produces consistently high-quality products.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience of effectively using lean tools and techniques
- Must have a valid driving licence.
