Nicholas Associates are partnered with an established groundworks contractor who are recruiting for a Senior Engineer / Technical Manager. The contractor delivers civil engineering, groundworks, infrastructure services to new build projects with top 10 house builders across the East Midlands.
As Technical Manager you will support the construction, commercial & H&S teams through the management and communication of all technical aspects relating to the construction works undertaken by the business.
Duties and Responsibilities;
- Technical Support for Site Engineers, Including monthly site visits across all regions.
- Ensure engineers are completing relevant Q/A checks & recording As Built Information in line with agreed engineering requirements
- Arrange Quarterly Engineering meetings providing meeting agenda
- Managing Engineering Workload, ensuring job allocation across each individual region is split accordingly.
- Engineering Kit Management - Renewal/Calibration/Hiring/Invoices
- S38 / S104 Adoption Management
Skills Required;
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (not essential)
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer/Senior Site Engineer/Technical Manager
- Experience of roads & sewers, residential groundworks
- Taking off and scheduling of materials
- Good communication and management skills
- Ability to organise workload effectively for the purpose of meeting deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and flexibly, responding to business needs
- Team Player
