Role Overview:

Working alongside the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of their cricket coaching programs, ensuring smooth execution of all activities. This role is key to maintaining operational efficiency, optimizing resources, and enhancing the overall experience for both coaches and players. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and passionate about cricket.

Location:

Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of cricket coaching sessions, camps, and tournaments.
  • Coordinate with coaches, facilities, and administrative staff to ensure all sessions run on time and are fully resourced.
  • Monitor and manage equipment, ensuring that all coaching tools, kits, and grounds are maintained.

Scheduling & Logistics:

  • Create and manage coaching schedules, including player registrations, coach assignments, and facility bookings.
  • Oversee logistics for cricket camps, tournaments, and events, including travel arrangements, venue setup, and on-site management.
  • Coordinate team travel, hotel bookings, and catering for off-site tournaments and matches.

People Management:

  • Manage and supervise the coaching staff, ensuring their schedules, performance, and development align with company goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for coaches, parents, and players, addressing any issues or queries efficiently.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new staff members, ensuring they are aligned with the company's values and standards.

Client & Player Relations:

  • Develop strong relationships with players, parents, and clients to maintain high satisfaction and engagement.
  • Resolve player and parent concerns, ensuring a positive and professional experience throughout the coaching programs.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote new coaching programs, tournaments, and services to attract new clients.

Financial & Resource Management:

  • Manage budgets for coaching programs, events, and operational expenses, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Track and report financial performance related to operational activities, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Handle invoicing, payment processing, and financial reconciliation in coordination with the finance team.

Performance Monitoring & Improvement:

  • Develop and implement systems to monitor the effectiveness of coaching sessions and programs.
  • Regularly review and analyze operational processes to ensure efficiency and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding protocols, and any relevant sports governance rules.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Previous experience working within cricket or sports coaching environments is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling, logistics, and team management software.
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets and operational costs.

Personal Qualities:

  • Passion for cricket and knowledge of the sport.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
  • Leadership qualities with a hands-on approach to managing daily operations.
  • Full UK Driver's Licence.
