Production/Engineering Manager

£50,000 Dependent on Experience
We are looking for a motivated Production Manager to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of production within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team. The position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
Role Description
- Production Planning and Scheduling: Developing and implementing production schedules to meet company targets and customer demands.
- Team Management: Overseeing and coordinating the activities of the production team to ensure efficient operations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Resource Management: Managing resources, including raw materials and equipment, to optimize production efficiency.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Key Qualities
- This is a hands-on position, not office based
- Strong management and leadership qualities
- Must have at least 10 years automotive experience, preferably in the high performance/supercar market.
- Have hands-on engineering and manufacturing experience
- Conversant with computer diagnostics
- Knowledge of vehicle electrics
- Adaptable and practical problem solving
- Able to engage with clients and potential customers
- Able to source and manage the supply chain
- Clean driver's license
- Conversant with Health and Safety
