Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our client as a Waste Transfer Station Supervisor. This role involves overseeing the Waste Transfer Station and managing both internal and external haulage operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Waste/Haulage team, including Operatives and HGV drivers.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and assist Waste Management Officers and the Senior Haulage Officer.
- Provide visible leadership and direction for the team.
- Manage and operate a variety of plant and equipment, including HGVs, loading shovels, telehandlers, and other site equipment.
- Assist in operational performance, financial management, staff training, and development.
- Ensure services meet all statutory duties and responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in waste management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to operate and manage various plant and equipment.
- Excellent time-management and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible and proactive attitude towards work.
