Faculty / Directorate

The Directorate offers full-service marketing and communications support to the university, comprising brand and creative development; design and print services; corporate and student recruitment marketing campaigns; CRM and conversion campaigns; faculty marketing and recruitment; reputation management; media relations and public affairs; internal and external communications engagement; events; admissions, schools and colleges engagement; widening participation; enquiry management and follow up, and web and digital development.

Role

The Business Partnering team is a newly created service and we are looking for a Business Partner Officer who will play a crucial role in ensuring the directorate supports the faculties in delivering their business requirements and objectives. Working alongside the Business Partner, you will support the faculty in meeting its targets, as well as enhancing its reputation and profile. Through collaboration, commissioning, and stakeholder management, you will understand their diverse range of business needs and subject portfolio ensuring appropriate marketing/student recruitment and communication solutions are co-ordinated and managed to deliver successful outcomes and meet agreed objectives.

You will be part of a small team who will focus on supporting the faculty across the full portfolio of its marketing and recruitment needs, as well as working as part of a wider partnering team to ensure a one team ethos in delivering a highly efficient and effective service across the institution.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience creating and delivering high quality and innovative marketing/student recruitment, communications, and event solutions, along with strong project management. It is important that you can work collaboratively and possess the ability to successfully develop and manage positive stakeholder relationships, including the ability to influence and persuade colleagues. Knowledge and experience of commissioning work across an organisation would be advantageous. You will need to be comfortable with utilising data and insight to monitor and evaluate performance to inform stakeholders, including actionable recommendations.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you should have a good awareness of the UK and overseas student markets. You will be innovative, original, and creative in thinking with the ability to analyse and prioritise user requirements and stakeholder needs.
