Duties of the Role

Overall Purpose of the Role:This role supports the creation, delivery, and management of institution-wide corporate marketing and student recruitment collateral, campaigns, and activities.

The postholder will assist the Marketing lead for the London campus in delivering marketing, student recruitment, and web plans. They will develop a high level of subject understanding and support the planning of subject-focused marketing, including portfolio reviews and development.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating, implementing, and reviewing high-quality and innovative corporate marketing and student recruitment materials, campaigns, and web content solutions.
  • Liaise with a range of stakeholders to support the development of effective and highly creative engagement and communications plans for all audiences, including both overseas and domestic.
  • Understand and champion the distinctive London campus proposition and how it complements the broader institutional brand. Support the translation of the proposition into compelling communications, marketing, and recruitment activities.
  • Ensure the London campus has an appropriate and consistent look and feel within the institutional brand and contribute to brand development when required.
  • Support the scoping and commissioning of marketing, student recruitment, and communications solutions through collaboration with Marketing and Communications, the International Office, and wider teams. 
  • Develop excellent stakeholder relationships and work collegiately to deliver projects and solutions, demonstrating a high standard of project management.
  • Support the Marketing lead in working with stakeholders to create work that is on brand, to brief, highly creative, appropriate for the target audience, and impactful, ensuring it is delivered in line with guidelines and compliant with university practices.
  • Plan and produce relevant and engaging content, including basic photography, video, digital design, and compelling marketing copy for use across social, digital, and traditional channels.
  • Ensure the London campus’s web content is high impact, accurate, up-to-date, informative, and in line with the university’s wider web strategy.
  • Create and manage engaging and relevant content across relevant social media platforms. Understand audiences and their use of different social channels, stay up to date on emerging channels, and advise colleagues on trends.
  • Work with Future Students to ensure admissions and recruitment processes and activities are competitive and deliver an excellent applicant experience. Utilize data and recruitment reporting to steer activities.
  • Undertake travel to the main campus as required, as well as other occasional travel to support domestic and international marketing and recruitment, as needed.
