Summary

SPS Technologies are working in partnership as they look to increase their team. Due to retirement of long-standing employees and a large aerospace contract, they need additional machinists to join the team on a permanent basis.

The Job

  • Operating various machines with the chance to become multiskilled.
  • Using various measuring gauges - verniers, shadow graphs etc
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings.
  • Working to customer specifications
  • General Housekeeping duties

The Candidate

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment OR Engineering qualification

  • Mechanically minded

  • Must be clearly conversant in English

  • Physically fit as there is a lot of manual work

  • Must be organised and able to work to a process and ensure stock is moved correctly in specific batches
