Mechanical Building Services Design & Project Engineer
Leicester - hybrid
32,000 - 40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

I am seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Building Services Engineer with design and project experience to join my clients experienced team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical building services systems in various buildings, ensuring they are efficient, sustainable, and compliant with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed designs for mechanical building services systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), controls and plumbing, using CAD and BIM software.
  • Manage project design & quality from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and liaising with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems comply with building regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Implement energy-efficient solutions and sustainable practices in all projects.
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress, system performance, and any issues encountered.
  • Experience undertaking site surveys and reporting on the condition of installed services (M&E) would be beneficial.


Qualifications:

  • High level NVQ or degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Working towards Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng, IEng).
  • Experience with Mechanical design, CAD and BIM software.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
