Your new companyYou will be joining an established contractor based in Leicester operating in the water industry. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work with multiple major water providers across the country, including Severn Trent Water, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Leicester office with occasional site travel.

Your new roleAs Mechanical Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and delivering mechanical works on water projects
  • Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and resolve potential technical issues
  • Preparing and reviewing documentation, including RAMS and technical reports
  • Developing project scopes and technical specifications
  • Overseeing contractors and suppliers, ensuring works comply with technical, quality and safety standards
  • Supporting project planning, scheduling and budgeting to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:

  • Proven mechanical-related project engineering experience in the water industry
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts and proficiency with Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • CSCS card (essential) and SSSTS/SMSTS certification (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence.
