Our client are currently recruiting for a Mould Toolmaker. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, fabrication, and assembly of tools and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and AutoCAD, as well as hands-on experience with various machining techniques. The Tool Maker will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and precision of our production operations.

Duties
- Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures according to specifications.
- Assemble and test tools to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Operate milling machines, lathes, and grinding equipment to produce precision components.
- Utilise hand tools for fine adjustments and finishing touches on tools.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop tooling solutions for new products.
- Maintain and repair existing tools to extend their lifespan and functionality.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working in the workshop.
- Document all processes and modifications made during tool fabrication.
Skills
- Proficient in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Strong ability to fabricate tools using various machining techniques.
- Experience in tooling design, particularly for plastics injection moulding applications.
- Competence in assembling complex mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with milling, grinding, and other machining processes.
- Skilled in using hand tools for detailed work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
