The Role

Working for one of the world’s leading Company’s in Paper Manufacturing. We are world leaders in what we do, and we are currently on the look-out for an experienced Machine Operator within a production/manufacturing setting. This role sits at the very heart of our production line and manages all aspects of the end-to-end production of some of the UK’s best known tissue brands.

The successful candidate will work on our rostered 4 shift pattern working 2 days then 2 nights so you can get that all important work/life balance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain the continuous running of our Packaging Machines 
  • Facilitate product change overs including the loading of polyethylene reels 
  • Responsible for the effective running of the log saw as and when required 
  • Interact with the Machine to solve minor issues/breakdown leading to the enhanced productivity of the machines 
  • Carry out quality checks on productions when required and report any faults to the respective person 
  • Carry out small maintenance activities and adjustments
  • Support the colleagues in case of need and overview the end line process when required
  • Be accountable for high levels of housekeeping of the working area throughout the shift
  • Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
